Working from home the norm: 4Webcom online consultation hours

29 Sep 2020 - John Welzen

The COVID virus is proving more persistent than we all expected. Once again, the government must step in and set rules. One of these rules is working from home. From advice to work at home where possible, it has now been scaled up to: working at home is the norm! From tomorrow onwards, being present at work is an exception.

That actually means that almost all people with an office job will have to work (temporarily) from home. Easier said than done. How do you set up a good home office? How do you communicate effectively with each other? And how can you reach your customers or clients from home? Some have already gained experience during the first Corona crises. For others, this government standard is the start of working differently.

As a certified Zoom partner, 4Webcom has direct access to all Zoom software options. This can be a single license, multiple PRO licenses, a business package or special solutions for education. We also have a custom platform for organizations that want to "zoom" with large groups but do not want to provide everyone with their own license.

But with only the software you are often not there yet. Because how do you organize the meetings or virtual classrooms? How do you organize and facilitate a sales meeting professionally at a distance? What to do when people on the other side want to join via a hardware conference system (for those in the know: an H323/SIP protocol)? Or work with Teams? And last but not least how do I work safely and have the right skills to bring quality and interesting meetings or presentations to the people on the other side of the webcam? All questions that come into play when you are suddenly taken out of your comfort zone of the office and have to manage your business remotely and from home. In this example online video communication meetings or webinars.

Various providers are responding to the increase in the use of video conference software to organize good and scalable video connections. Some, like Zoom for example, even have extra features built in to suppress background noise which is especially important if you work from home and do not have a separate office or room.

In order to be able to answer all these and other questions, and especially provide advice, 4Webcom will be holding extra online Corona consultation hours in the coming weeks to help you use Zoom from home. This action applies to both future and existing customers. You can also ask for advice on planning and organizing webinars, or streaming your webinar from home up to a Corona proof mobile studio on location. Would you like to know more about these or other topics, such as hardware questions related to working from home? Please send an email with your question to thuiswerken@4webcom.com and we will be happy to arrange it for you.

Good luck with working from home.
